Alice Rauh Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Mar. 30, 2026.
Alice Marie Rauh, age 92, of St. Anthony, passed away on Monday, March 30, 2026, at her home.

She was born on December 17, 1933, in Wapakoneta, Ohio, to the late Leonard and Miriam (Elliot) Kohler.

In addition to her parents, Alice was preceded in death by her husband, Henry U. Rauh, whom she married on May 11, 1957, and who passed away on February 11, 2009; her sisters, Kathryn (Bill) Walterbusch and Sharon Kohler; and her sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Alma (Joseph) Bergman.

Alice is survived by her children, Julie (Ron) Brackman of St. Anthony, Janet (Chuck) Stoner of Celina, Tim Rauh of St. Anthony, and Todd (Carolyn) Rauh of Versailles; her 16 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren, with two on the way.

Alice was a graduate of St. Joseph Catholic High School in Wapakoneta. She went on to work as a personal secretary for the Ohio Power Company in Lima and later at the former New Idea factory in Coldwater. In addition to her professional life, Alice was deeply involved in the daily operations of the family farm, working faithfully alongside her husband.

A devoted member of St. Anthony Catholic Church, Alice also belonged to the church's Altar Rosary Sodality. She found joy in simple pleasures, especially puzzles and other activities that kept her mind sharp. In her quieter moments, Alice enjoyed knitting and quilting, creating items that will be cherished by those who knew and loved her.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Monday, April 13, 2026, at St. Anthony Catholic Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Guests may visit with her family on Sunday, April 12, 2026, from 1:00 PM until 5:00 PM and again on Monday from 8:30 AM until 9:30 AM at Brockman Boeckman Funeral Home, Fort Recovery.

Memorial contributions may be given to CHP Home Care and Hospice.
