Alice Carnley Rodgers entered into rest on Saturday, November 1, 2025, at The Phoenix at Lake Joy.
Born on February 24, 1939, in Blue Springs, Alabama, Alice was one of eleven children and the beloved twin of Ellis. Growing up on a farm instilled in her a lifelong appreciation for hard work, faith, and family.
Alice attended college before beginning a long and dedicated career at Robins Air Force Base and later at H&R Block. She retired after many years of faithful service.
A woman of strong will and even stronger faith, Alice was of the Baptist faith and kept her Bible close throughout her life. She was a steady presence for those around her. Family, friends, and neighbors alike naturally turned to her for wisdom and encouragement.
She had a deep love for her family, whom she cared for with devotion. Alice also had a fondness for elephants and pink.
Her life was a testament to faith, perseverance, and love. She will be remembered always for her strength, her compassion, and the warmth she brought into every life she touched.
In addition to her parents, Alice was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Dale Rodgers; and children, Darlene Crawford Smith, and Robert Henry Schroeder, Jr.
Her memory will forever be treasured by her children, Robin Lynn Hodgkins (Sean McPhail), Edna Sue Hoffman (Wilmer); grandchildren, Audrey Nicole Hodgkins, Malorey Paige Hodgkins “the favorite,” Jennifer DeWilde, Teri Becker, Jeremy Hoffman, and Robert Allen Crawford; great-grandchildren, Louis, Cooper, and Jordyn DeWilde; as well as a host of other beloved extended family members and friends.
Visitation will be Tuesday, November 4, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A graveside funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, at Lakeview Memory Gardens, 3800 US-341, Phenix City, AL 36867, where Alice Carnley Rodgers will be laid to rest.
