Ridgeley, WV – Alice Mae Sabers, 79, of Ridgeley, WV, passed away Sunday, January 15, 2023, at her home.
Born July 10, 1943 in Cumberland, MD, Mrs. Sabers was the daughter of the late Charles Griffith and Juanita Wilavene (Breese) Griffith. She was also preceded in death by her stepmother, Norma Grace Griffith, her daughter-in-law, Kimmie Sabers and her stepsister, Faye Stakem.
Alice graduated from Allegany High School in 1961. A homemaker, Alice was a member of the Holy Cross United Methodist Church where she sang in the choir. Alice loved to shop and spend time with all her grandchildren as well as the neighborhood children. She was also an avid bingo player.
Alice is survived by her husband of 60 years, Terry Sabers, her sons: Michael Sabers and wife, Chandra, and Todd Sabers; her daughter, Terrilyn Rowzee and husband, Douglas; nine grandchildren, five great grandchildren, and her brother, Charles Griffith II and wife, Carol.
The family would like to thank Dr. Zaman, Stephanie and the hospice nurses for all their care and compassion given.
Friends will be received at the Adams Family Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur Street, Cumberland, MD, on Thursday, January 19, 2023, from 4:00 P.M. to 6:30 P.M. A funeral service will follow at 6:30 P.M., with Karen Weakley officiating.
