Alice B. Stewart, 74, of Byesville, died Thursday, November 6, 2025 at the Southeastern Ohio Regional Medical Center.
Alice was born March 20, 1951, in Harrisville, Ohio, a daughter of the late Ellsworth R. Stewart and Viola (Devault) Hayes.
She retired from Child and Family Services, where she was employed for 20 years.
Alice was a 1969 graduate of Cambridge High School and a member of Abundant Blessings Church in Center.
She enjoyed arts and crafts and traveled for many years to see covered bridges and lighthouses. She also enjoyed traveling to Amish Country.
Alice was preceded in death by her stepfather, Bernard Hayes and mother, Viola Hayes.
She is survived by three sisters, Marna Kay Dombroski of Cambridge, Carol (& Kenneth) Pittman of Dalton, GA, and Debra Hester of Radcliff, KY; five nephews, one niece, several great nieces and nephews and two great-great nieces, and many good friends.
Visitation will be held Monday, November 10, from 6pm to 8pm at Thorn-Black Funeral Home in Cambridge.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 11, at 11am, with Pastor Dee Ryan officiating.
Burial will follow at Olive Branch Cemetery in Harrisville.
