Alice Amanda Summers

Alice Amanda Summers, born January 3, 1941, passed peacefully on November 13, 2025, in Taylor, Michigan, at the age of 84. Alice was a strong independent woman and proud member of the UAW Local 735. She retired after 35 years of dedication to GM. A life well-lived, she touched the hearts of many through her warmth and dedication to her family and friends.
Alice cherished the simple joys of life: the aroma of a home-cooked meal, the satisfaction of mowing her lawn on her riding lawn mower, the beauty of her blooming garden, the laughter shared with loved ones and most of all being mom and grandma. Her generous spirit and strong welcoming nature will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to know her.
She is preceded in death by her beloved father George Taylor, mother Virginia McDevitt, son Kenneth Ray Summers Jr., son Kenneth Rodney Summers, son in law Mark Corey Sr, granddaughter Melissa Pitock and Katie Corey, and siblings George Taylor, Virginia Box, Judy Wynn, David Taylor, and Bonnie McCammon and beloved friend Mary (Kathy) Johnson.
Alice leaves behind a large and loving family to cherish her memory: her children Katherine (the late Mark Sr.) Corey, Deborah (Kevin) Mullins, the late Kenneth Summers Jr., and Raymond (the late Janet) Summers, the late Kenneth Rodney Summers, Barbara Bechtel, Julie Summers, her grandchildren Mark (Shauna) Corey II, the late Katie Corey, Timothy Corey, Kevin (Krystal) Mullins II, Amanda (Don) Trombly, Jessica (Kyle) Harris, Mary (Kayla) Summers, Kenny (Chelsae) Summers III, Addyson Summers, Meghan Summers, Ray Summers, Rodney (Collin) Summers, Josephine Summers, Abagail Summers, Jodi Bechtel, Jacob Pitock, the late Melissa Pitock, Jerry Bechtel II, Julian Summers, Julianna Summers, Julia Summers and Dustin Summers, her great-grandchildren Harley Corey, Benjiman Terry, Lois Toms, Dominic Mullins, Donnie Trombly, Drake Trombly, Isaac Harris, Alice Harris, Kinsley Summers, Colton Summers, Cason Summers, Makylee May, Avery May, Cody Summers, Jason Summers, Kora Smith, Kiara Smith, Jocelyn Bechtel, Brionna Bechtel-Forsuld, Wyatt Forsuld, Jayda Pitock, Jacob Pitock, Benjamin Phillips, Constance Phillips and Anthony Summers, great, great-grandchild Ximena Toms along with many cherished nieces and nephews.
Family, friends, and those whose lives she touched are invited to gather in remembrance of Alice during the visitation on Thursday, November 20, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM, with a service to follow at 3:00 PM. Burial will take place immediately after the service.
