Alice E. True

Alice E. "Ali" True, 85, resident of Mont Vernon, NH, died on March 12, 2023 at Elliot Hospital, Manchester, NH.
She was born in Haverhill, MA on April 2, 1937, the daughter of Everett and Dorothy (Severance) Milne. She was raised and educated in Milford, NH and graduated from Milford High School, Class of 1955.
After retiring from Hitchiner's, she worked at Blake Brothers Jewelry Wholesalers until the age of 81.
She loved spending time at the ocean, especially Nubble Light in Cape Neddick, ME and Longsands in York, ME. Alice also enjoyed nature, tending to her flower gardens, birdwatching playing the piano and writing poetry. Alice loved fashion, and she was often told that she looked like Elizabeth Taylor, a testament to her beauty and poise. She was a caring and compassionate mother to her children and many other surrogate children. Alice was blessed to have wonderful family.
In addition to her parents, Alice was predeceased by her former husband, Edwin True; her brother, Samuel Milne; her sister, Joan Barrett; and her grandson, Eric Smith.
Family members include her fiancé, Tom Moquin of Mont Vernon, NH; eight children, Debra Hyde of Wilton, NH, Brett True of Hopkins, MN, Mark True of Merrimack, NH, Lisa True and her fiancé Matt Klotz of Mont Vernon, NH, Mia True of Midland, VA, Barry and his wife Kelley of Lyndeborough, NH, Wendy True of Amherst, NH and Shari Pendleton of Milford, NH; 16 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; two nephews, Jon and Jim; one niece, Suzanne.
Visiting hours are on Sunday, March 19th from 2:00-4:00pm in the Smith & Heald Funeral Home, 63 Elm Street, Milford. A funeral service will be held on Monday, March 20th at 10:00am in the Bridge Community Church, 65 West Street, Milford.
