Alice Vicars Obituary
June 22, 1935 - October 2, 2025
Alice Sands Vicars, 90, of Henrico, VA, went to be with the Lord on October 2, 2025. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of over 57 years, Elbert Franklin Vicars, and her parents, Curtis and Agnes Sands. She is survived by her children, Deborah Turner (Steve) and Robert 'Bobby' Vicars (Debra); granddaughter, Rachel Andrews (Gary); and her great-granddaughter, Olivia Andrews.
Alice was a Richmond native and life-long Catholic, who was a parishioner of St. Benedict's, Our Lady of Lourdes, and St. Ann's. Elbert and Alice loved to drive and show off his classic 1949 Chevy. Above all, she adored her family and was thrilled when she became a great-grandmother to Olivia.
The family will receive friends 3 to 6 p.m., Tuesday, October 28, at Bliley's, 8510 Staples Mill Road, Richmond, VA, 23228. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday, October 29, at St. Ann's Catholic Church, 105 S. Snead Street, Ashland, VA 23005. Interment to follow in Greenwood Memorial Gardens.
