Ms. Alice Mae Washington

Ms. Alice Mae (Williams) Washington passed away on Monday, November 10, 2025, at the age of 79. She was born on July 5, 1946, to the late Ozie Russell and Annie Mae Williams in De Funiak Springs, Florida.

Ms. Alice Mae Washington will be having a Visitation on Friday, November 21, 2025, at Progressive Funeral Home from 4:00pm - 6:00pm.
There will be a private Family interment at Main Post Cemetery.

Alice Mae Washington, devoted mother, sister, grandmother, and friend, entered eternal rest surrounded by love. Born to the late Annie Mae Miller and Ozie Russell, Alice lived a life marked by strength, independence, and quiet resilience that left a lasting impression on all who knew her.

Alice was married to the late Lenn C. Washington, Sr., with whom she shared many years of companionship. To this union were born seven children. She is preceded in death by Shurrita Washington and by Craig and Valerie Washington, who passed at birth. She leaves to cherish her memory four surviving children: Pamela Washington Bell (Nevelle Bell), Dawn Klauman (Galen Klauman), Lenn Washington II (Crystal Washington), and Robin Pugh (Joseph Pugh).

Alice's legacy continues through the generations she leaves behind. She is the grandmother of Kelli, Alexander, Jade, Terrence, Raymond, Nevelle Jr., Justin, Jerad, Jacelin, Jordan, Kayla, Anna, Joshua, Nuria, Trinity, Maria (deceased), Jeremiah (deceased), Maiya H.M., Lenn Calvin III, Lumi A.J. Jr., Shayla F., and Asia C. She is also the great-grandmother of Daniel, Journee, Jenesis M., Sincere, Je'on, Jashara, Landry, Noeloni, Jaden, Landon, Roxy, Riley, Jenesis, Iriel, Zion, Zayn, Lailah, Ja'Loni, Bryson, Regan, Ryan, and Christian, and the great-great-grandmother of Jakari.

Alice is survived by her siblings Faye McKinnon, John Williams, Brenda Cobb (Albert Cobb), Janice Williams, Bernard Williams (Ashley Williams), Sharriann Robinson (Mark Robinson), and Michelle Strong (Frank Strong), and is preceded in death by Patricia Kimble and Yashaun Williams. She is also remembered by 20 nieces and nephews who were part of her wide and loving family circle.

Alice will be remembered for her resilience, her spirit, and the lasting impact she made on the lives of her family and friends. Her memory will continue to live on in all who loved her.
