Alice Faye Wilkerson, 77, of Moulton, passed away Friday, November 1, 2024 at Decatur Morgan Hospital. Visitation will be from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Monday, November 04, 2024 at Lawrence Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM at the funeral home with Bro. Steve Agee officiating. Burial will be at Midway Memorial Garden.
Born on August 17, 1947 to the late Elbert Earrace and Linnie Mae Bruton Borden, Alice volunteered with the Red Cross for 20 years and worked 75 disasters during that time. She served as a Sunday School children's teacher at Harmony Baptist Church for 30 years.
Survivors include her husband of 61 years, Willard Wilkerson; sons, Mark (Deb) Wilkerson, Troy (Nikki) Wilkerson, and Barry Wilkerson; grandchildren, Justin (Liz) Martindale, Adam (Samantha) Wilkerson, Jonathan Wilkerson, and Summer (Brent) Dutton; seven great-grandchildren; sisters, Betty Cox, and Kay (Jim) Bigelow; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Alice was preceded in death by her parents; and sisters, Gladys Morris, and Sue Cole.
Pallbearers will be Adam Wilkerson, Justin Martindale, Jonathan Wilkerson, Ross Cole, James Helms and Joseph Morris.
The family extends special thanks to the nurses and staff at Decatur Morgan Hospital along with her caregivers.
