Alicia Gamarra

Alicia, conocida por todos por su cariñoso apodo "Mery", falleció pacíficamente de esta vida la tarde del 20 de abril luego de un paulatino deterioro de su salud. Estuvo rodeada y apoyada por su amada familia durante los últimos días de su vida. Alicia nació en Huaral, Perú como parte del barrio llamado "La Huaca". Fue una figura destacada de la sociedad de la provincia conocida por su labor y amabilidad. En 2001, siguió a su familia a los Estados Unidos y se mudó a Antioch, California, donde vivió el resto de su vida.
Para quienes la conocieron, Alicia era más que una mujer; ella era la personificación de la generosidad y la humildad. Ella nunca dudó en tomarse el tiempo para echar una mano demostrando su amabilidad velando por el bienestar de todos. La familia era la piedra angular de la vida de Alicia. Ella transformó sus propias experiencias de adversidad en la base del amor y el apoyo para sus hijos y nietos, moldeándolos como las personas que son hoy.
Alicia le sobreviven su esposo, Alfredo Gamarra, dos hijos; Miguel y Ángela; cuatro nietos; Diego, Kimberlyn, Susan y Keven; tres bisnietos: Miliano, Kaziel y Milán. Alicia también le sobreviven su hermano Jaime "Pepe" Cleonares Cahuas y sus hijos: Yesienia y Jaime. Le precedieron en la muerte sus padres Juan Cleonares Blanco y Lorenza "Lola" Cahuas Bustos, hermana Doralisa "Doris" Gamarra, su cuñado Edilberto "Che" Gamarra y su sobrino Juan "Cholo" Gamarra.
La familia desea extender su sincero y profundo agradecimiento a todos aquellos que han sido parte de su vida y especialmente a aquellos que ayudaron a cuidar y apoyar a la familia durante estos momentos difíciles. ¡Te amamos Mamá Mery!
Alicia, known to all by her loving moniker "Merí" passed peacefully from this life the evening of April 20th after a gradual decline in health. She was surrounded and supported by her loving family during the last days of her life. Alicia was born in Huaral, Peru as part of the neighborhood called "La Huaca". She was a prominent society figure in the province known for her labor and kindness. In 2001, she followed her family to the United States and moved to Antioch, California where she lived the remainder of her life.
To those who knew her, Alicia was more than a woman; she was the personification of generosity and humility. She never hesitated to take the time to lend a hand by demonstrating her kindness by checking on everyone's welfare. Family was the cornerstone of Alicia's life. She transformed her own experiences of adversity into the foundation of love and support for her children and grandchildren, shaping them into the individuals they are today.
Alicia is survived by her husband, Alfredo Gamarra, two children; Miguel and Angela; four grandchildren; Diego, Kimberlyn, Susan, and Keven; three great grandchildren: Miliano, Kaziel, and Milan. Alicia is also survived by her brother Jaime "Pepe" Cleonares Cahuas and his children: Yesienia and Jaime. She was preceded in death by her parents Juan Cleonares Blanco and Lorenza "Lola" Cahuas Bustos, sister Doralisa "Doris" Gamarra, brother-in-law Edilberto "Che" Gamarra, and nephew Juan "Cholo" Gamarra.
