Alicia Leiber Obituary
Alicia Arlene Leiber (nee Sommer), 63, died on June 26th, 2024, after a courageous battle with endometrial cancer. Born on January 25, 1961, in Decatur, Illinois, Alicia has resided in Schaumburg, Illinois for the last 35 years.
Alicia is survived by her loving husband of 35 years, Kurt; daughters, Brittany (Michael) Lemmo, Amanda Leiber, and Lindsay (Jake) Schultz; granddaughter, Lily Lemmo; and siblings Connie (Joel) Fabbrini, Vicki Sommer, Gina (Mike) Biggs, Ken (Roberta) Sommer, Marcie (Don) Higginson and Jan (Arnie) Borchers. Alicia was also blessed with many nieces and nephews that she loved dearly. Alicia was preceded in death by her parents, Wilfrid and Arlene Sommer; brother, Doug Sommer; and grandson, Luca Lemmo.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 2nd, 2024 from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Ahlgrim & Son's Funeral Home, 330 W. Golf Road, Schaumburg. A Mass will be held on Wednesday, July 3rd, 2024 at 10:00 am at St. Hubert's Catholic Church, 729 Grand Canyon St. Hoffman Estates. Interment will be held privately at a later date at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Cemetery, Palatine.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society in her honor.
