Aligholi "Marcel" Ghadjar-Rahimi passed away at the 79, on December 12, 2025, in Yuba City, CA.

Born on August 17, 1946, Marcel dedicated three decades of his life to serving as a Civil Engineer for Cal Trans, significantly contributing to various projects across California.

His commitment to education was evident through his role as an evening instructor in Engineering at Yuba College.

Marcel was known for his charismatic personality and diligent work ethic. He had a passion for traveling, cherished spending time with his family, enjoyed regular workouts at the Racquet Club, and took great pleasure in driving his Porsche.

He is survived by his brothers, Iraj and Bijan; many cousins; nieces; and nephews. Marcel was preceded in death by his parents; and his sister.

A service to honor Marcel's life will be held at Sierra View Mortuary in Olivehurst, CA, on January 9, 2026, at 11 AM.

Marcel's life was one of vibrant engagement and enduring impact, leaving a legacy of professional dedication and personal warmth.

Marcel was such a character when I worked at The Racquet Club. He made me smile. When I left ten years ago to start my job at Caltrans, he gave me this orchid that is blooming now! He will be missed.
