Aline Pruneau

Aline B. Pruneau, age 67, South Windsor, CT, passed away on April 27, 2016 with family by her side after a long struggle with frontotemporal dementia. Aline was born June 25, 1948 in Green River, New Brunswick, Canada, daughter of Ronald and Melina (Ringuette) Berube. After moving to Hartford, CT in 1961 she soon met the love of her life, Andre Pruneau. They spent 50 married years together and he cared for her with great tenderness through her final years. Aline leaves behind her loving husband, Andre, and their three children: Mark and Yolanda Pruneau of South Windsor, CT; Lynn and Daniel Caouette of South Windsor, CT; and Lisa and David Richard of Southbridge, MA. Aline had a great passion for children and leaves behind seven grandchildren: Danica Pruneau, Samantha Parker, Zowie Caouette, Skyler Pruneau, Maxim Caouette, Nicolette Pruneau and Zavier Caouette. Aline also leaves behind her brother Paul and Donna Berube of Rothesay, New Brunswick, her sister Jeannine and Eddie Struthers of Brattleboro, VT and her sister Marie May Berube of St. Leonard, New Brunswick, along with much more family and friends. She was predeceased by her parents and her brothers Willard and Junior Berube. At 10:55 pm, Aline hopped aboard Elvis Presley's Mystery Train draped in a yellow scarf carrying a gallon of her favorite chocolate ice cream. Calling hours will be Thursday, May 5 from 5 to 8 pm at Samsel & Carmon Funeral Home, 419 Buckland Road, South Windsor, CT. The service and burial will be private.
