Mrs. Alisha Deneen Wade, age 60, of 113 S 5th St., Lockhart, wife of Christopher Wade, passed away Monday, January 26, 2026.
Mrs. Wade was born March 7, 1965, in Chester, a daughter of the late Eddie Waters and Barbara Ann Farmer Knight. She was a 1983 graduate of Lockhart High School and completed her LPN training in1995 at the Cherokee Technology Center in Gaffney, SC. Mrs. Wade was a nurse for over 30 years, beginning as a CNA and before having to retire due to health finished at the White Oak Manor in Spartanburg. She was a member of Phillipi Baptist Church but had been attending Mt. Joy Baptist Church with relatives. Mrs. Wade loved shopping at Flea Markets, and antique shops, fishing and just being outdoors. She loved her sons and her grandsons. They were the love and joy of her life.
In addition to her husband, Christopher, Mrs. Wade is survived by sons, Michael Knox (Misty) of Buffalo and Christopher Vaughan (Ivey) of Union. She is also survived by a brother, Jamey Waters (Allison) of Union, grandchildren, Eric Knox, John Knox, Isaac Vaughan, Tennessee Vaughan, Sawyer Vaughan. Mrs. Wade also leaves behind a niece, Erica Comtois, a nephew, Tony Waters, an aunt, Dalline Lebonville and a special cousin, Mechelle Ellis.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, January 29, 2026, at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Chapel conducted by Rev. Brad Goodale with the attendance of the Nurses Honor Guard. Burial will be at the Lockhart Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Christopher Vaughan, Michael Knox, Christopher Wade, Harold Vaughan, Francis Ellis and Tony Waters.
Visitation will be from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Chapel prior to the services.
The family would like to thank the care givers, Connor Brown, Elizabeth Spencer, and Cheri Freeman of the Spartanburg Regional Hospice Care.
The family is at the home of her son and daughter in law, Christopher and Ivey Vaughan, 971 Main St., Buffalo, SC 29321.
