Alison Temple, age 78, of Chatham, NJ, passed away on Monday, April 14, 2025. She was the beloved wife of David Temple, with whom she shared 44 years of marriage.
Born in London, England in 1947, she was the daughter of the late Frederic and Betty Meadows and grew up in Woodside Park before moving to Chatham, NJ in 1978. She returned the U.K. in 1987 to live in Cobham, England for 3.5 years before returning to Chatham in 1991.
Alison was a kind and loving wife, mother and friend who was always willing to listen and help others in times of need. She enjoyed raising her 4 children and vacations and holidays with her family. Later in life she found joy in working at Morristown Memorial Hospital and teaching pre-school at St. Andrews's Episcopal Church. Her greatest passion was being an active member of All Saints' Episcopal Church where she led bible study groups and often visited elderly parishioners.
She is survived by three sons, Daniel Temple and his wife, Lisa, of Robbinsville, NJ, Nicholas Temple and his wife, Alison, of Brentwood, CA, and Joseph Temple and his wife, Melanie, of Chicago, IL; by one daughter, Hannah LeClair and her husband, Joseph, of Newburyport, MA; as well as seven grandchildren, Abigail, William, Grace, Ella, Sienna, Layla and Dylan.
In addition to her husband, Alison was predeceased by one brother, Richard Meadows and one sister, Valerie Johnson.
