Age 71. The cherished and beloved husband of Paul D. Grucza, passed away. At the time of his death, Allan was residing in Snyder, NY. Allan was born in Lawton, Oklahoma, the loving son of the late Orville and Lavern (nee Wheeler) Andrews and the brother of Jim (Susan) Andrews and the late Hershel Andrews. He was a gentle and loving soul who touched the lives of everyone he directed in music and everyone he encountered. He was a proud "Sooner" and had an uncanny knack of being able to weave an Oklahoma link into any conversation. Allan passed unexpectedly after a years' long battle with heart issues. He was a talented music and choir director for four decades in Oklahoma, Texas, Seattle, WA and Buffalo, NY. His renown in the choir music world knew no bounds and his masterful adjudication skills were sought nationwide. Most recently he was the Artistic Director of the Orchard Park Chorale in Orchard Park, NY. A Service of Worship in Witness to the Resurrection and In Gratitude for the Life of Allan Jon Andrews will be held on Thursday, November 13, 2025, at 1:00 pm at the University Presbyterian Church, 3330 Main Street, Buffalo, NY 14214. To preserve Allan's incredible music legacy, contributions in his memory may be made to the Orchard Park Chorale. There will be no visitation prior to the Service of Worship.
