Allan Blum Obituary

Allan Alfred, Sr. Blum

December 30, 1953 - September 2, 2025

Allan Alfred Blum, Sr., 71, of Mauston, WI, peacefully passed on September 2, 2025 at home under hospice care. He was born December 30, 1953, in Lancaster, WI, to Glen and Joretta Blum of Potosi, WI.

Allan grew up in Longwood, WI, and graduated high school while stationed in Germany. He served in the United States Army from 1973 to 1979.

On May 24, 1979, he married Virginia Joynes in Mound City, MO. Allan is survived by his wife, Virginia; children Wendy (Chris) Stevenson, Ira (Tiffany) Blum, Jimmie (Calliandra) Blum, Allan Blum Jr., and Mark Blum; grandchildren Skye (Tommy) Grafton, Kyron (Kelsey) Rosno, Hunter Stevenson, Brett Stevenson, Jayden Ford, Andrew Blum, Ethan Blum, Brayden and Meadow Beckstead, Emily Blum, Hunter Blum, Kyle Wigley, Thea Blum, Keagan Blum, Kiera Blum, and Tierney Fischer; six great-grandchildren, and one great-grandchild on the way; and siblings Dennis (Sherry) Blum, Kathleen Blum King, Eugene Blum, Richard (Gloria) Blum, Joretta Ann (Mike) Wimmer, and Steven (Carla) Blum.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Glen and Joretta Blum, and his brother David Blum.

Allan loved the outdoors and spending time with his family-fishing, hunting, camping, and gardening brought him joy. He delighted in sharing and hearing stories from his grandchildren, and he was known for his humor, joyful spirit, and friendly rivalries over baseball and football. Allan was a devoted fan of the New York Yankees and Green Bay Packers.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the New Lisbon City Hall (232 Pleasant St, New Lisbon, WI 53950) on Saturday, September 6th 2025, from 1:30–3:30pm. The family wishes to thank all caregivers, friends, and community members for their support and kindness. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project - Donate. Allan will be remembered for his joyful spirit, his love of family, and the countless memories he created with those who knew and loved him.
