Allan Wade Draehn, age 69, of Brenham, TX, passed away on Friday, December 15, 2023. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 19th from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm at Memorial Oaks Chapel in Brenham, TX. Memorial Service will be at 5:00 pm on Tuesday, December 19th, also at Memorial Oaks Chapel.
Allan was born on January 13, 1954, in Brenham, TX, to parents Willie H. and Selma Louise (Emshoff) Draehn. He was baptized on May 28, 1954 at Salem Lutheran Church and confirmed on June 30, 1968, also at Salem Lutheran Church.
Most of his life, Allan worked as a tile and carpet installer. He worked for Fischer Tile for many years and then started his own business, Draehn Floor Covering. He took great pride in his work.
Allan was full of jokes and loved to make people laugh. Allan loved his family and especially his grandchildren.
Allan is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Tina and Brion Webb, sons and daughters-in-law, David and Lisa Draehn and Jason and Lacye Draehn. Brothers and sisters-in-law, Gene and Joann Draehn, Lee and Hanna Draehn; sisters-in-law, Evelyn Draehn, Deloris Draehn; Sister and brother-in-law, Dianne and Ted Sager; sister, Geraldine Rybarski. Grandchildren, Claire and Jeff Breitschopf, Colin Reue, Dawson Draehn, Rylan and Remi Draehn.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers and sisters-in-law, Roger and Joyce Draehn, Willie and Marjorie Draehn, Glen (Pete) and Margaret Draehn; brothers, Elwood Draehn, Alvin (Jimmy) Draehn and Luther Draehn; Sister and brother-in-law, Lillie Mae and Willie Schmidt; brother-in-law, Edward Rybarski and nephews, Russell Draehn, William Draehn and Roy Schmidt.
Honorary pallbearers are Billy Brau, Greg Wesolick, and his nieces and nephews.
Memorials in Memory of Allan Draehn can be given to Hospice Brazos Valley.
