Allan Morrison "Al" Duvick

Allan Morrison Duvick, lovingly known as Al, passed away peacefully on December 26, 2025 in Gilbert, AZ, at the age of 92. Born on July 5, 1933 in Morris, IL, Al lived a life defined by devotion to his family, service to his country, and quiet strength.

He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Mary Jane (Greden) Duvick, whose partnership and love were the foundation of his life. He is also survived by his sister, May Heiden (Bob); his son, Michael Allan Duvick; and his daughters, Barbara Ann Norris (Ray) and Katherine Duvick Kandalaft (Naji). Al was a proud grandfather to six grandchildren, Teri Zeilhofer (Matt), Lindsay Hicks (Steve), Danielle DeCuir (Forrest), RJ Norris, Savannah Kandalaft Savic (Ranko) and Brennan Kandalaft and a cherished great-grandfather to nine great-grandchildren, Harper and Forrest DeCuir, Emmalynn, Addisynn, Blakely and Gracelynn Norris, Charlotte and Adelyn Hicks and Georgia Savic all of whom brought him great joy. He was also survived by numerous nephews & nieces.

Al was preceded in death by his parents, Margaret R. (Morrison) Duvick and Rasmus T. Duvick, brother, Kenneth Duvick, and his beloved daughter, Karen Stuckert.

Al attended the University of Illinois in 1951 joining the Alpha Gamma Rho Fraternity.

Al honorably served his country as a veteran of the United States Army from 1954 to 1956. His service reflected the values he carried throughout his life-duty, integrity, and perseverance.

He enjoyed playing cards, hunting, camping, fishing and family vacations.

Al will be remembered for his steady presence, deep love for his family, and the legacy of commitment and kindness he leaves behind. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 10, 2026 at 10:30am at Christ Greenfield Church, 425 N Greenfield Rd, Gilbert AZ 85234. There will be a light lunch to follow.

Interment will be held over the Fourth of July weekend in 2026 on Dad's birthday at St Mary's cemetery, 15136 County Road 31, Altura, MN 55910. A Picnic for family and friends will follow burial.
