I was a student at David Prouty, class of 1977. Al was one of the reasons I developed the passion and skills I possess in the trades. Building my own homes and countless other projects, I often hear him keeping my eyes and hands in the right places while running my saws! He taught me patience and focus to do a job correctly the first time.
He was a great man and will be remembered always.

Our condolences and sympathies to Jan Fearn and family on the passing of Al. He was always a friendly and good neighbor since we knew him and
readily kind to others. Thinking of you in this time of loss.
All our best wishes,

Al was a great friend to Communty Sailing and sailing for all. We are deeply saddened to have lost a true kindred spirit. Fair winds and following seas Al.

Al was my dept. head as I worked as an art teacher at David Prouty HS in the 1980´s
I recall going sailing with him one summer, but can´t recall where, other than it was an ocean sail. He was the smartest, most knowledgeable man and excelled in everything he did. He taught woodworking to countless students, including my husband and brother.
I was privileged to work with him and to know him. RIP Mr. Fearn
