Alan was a proud volunteer in The Villages Library, and a knowledgeable reader. On several occasions, we shared a good laugh over the antics one of our favorite authors, Stewart Woods, and his main character, Stone Barrington. Barrington is a flamboyant, wealthy, NYC bachelor lawyer, with an entertaining lifestyle. it was the lifestyle that totally amused and entertained us.
Alan had a quick mind and an easy laugh, and always enjoyed discussing his favorite "reads".
Fondly,
Kathleen and Larry

Alan and I have such wonderful memories of Allan. Fun filled birthday dinners and many Lions events. He was a fabulous neighbor and dear friend. He even sponsored my husband, Alan, in joining the Lions Club 36 years ago´
His daughter, Tricia, was a joy growing up. When we first moved next door to the family, she delivered our morning newspaper and explained to us that we had to maintain our house´s tradition of placing a candle in every window at Christmas. He will be missed by all his Brookfield friends and fellow Lions.
With love and prayers,
Candy & Alan Smith
