Allen AADLAND Obituary

November 14, 1932 - January 3, 2024

Allen Henry Aadland, aged 91, passed away peacefully on January 3rd, 2024, at the Veterans Affairs Hospice Care Center in Spokane, WA. He was born on November 14th, 1932, in Loreburn, Saskatchewan, Canada, son of Palmer and Carrie (Volmer) Aadland. He moved to the United States in 1941, and resided in Seattle, WA, for many years. He had two daughters from his first marriage, and then married Marilyn Schneider in 1968, with whom he had two children as well. Allen and Marilyn were married for 55 years, until his death.

Allen served in the United States Navy from 1951-1955, during which he fought in the Korean War. Following his military service, he worked as a commercial truck salesman for the next 45 years, spending a majority of that time as general manager. Allen and his family moved many times around Washington, Montana, Utah, and Canada, landing eventually in the Chewelah/Spokane area following retirement where he enjoyed playing golf, fishing, and traveling to warmer weather in the winters.

Allen is preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Morris Aadland; and his daughter, Pamela Aguirre. Allen is survived by his wife, Marilyn; his daughter, Julie Aadland-Lewis and her husband, Richard Lewis; his son, Dustan Aadland; his daughter, Callie Aadland-Wood and her husband Andy Wood; his twin sisters, Ardath Kenyon and Arlene Whitworth; 9 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, and in-laws. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.
