I previously entered a message, but I guess it disappeared. I was 2 years, 9 months old when Allen was born. He was a cute little feller, and I got to watch him grow up. When he was in high school, he ran cross-country, played on the baseball team, and was president of the high school band. After college, he became a police officer, retired after 20 years. Then he went to Bible college and became Pastor of the Christian Church in Ladson. I didn't have much contact with him until after I retired from the Marine Corps, and for several years thereafter. But for the last few years, we exchanged phone calls twice a week. I have lots of childhoon memories of Allen, and will always cherish his memory.
