Allen Craft Obituary

Allen earned his teaching degree at SUNY Oswego, and began his career in Bennington, Vermont and taught for a year in Connecticut before settling in to Scotia Glenville Central Schools where he taught for 27 years, retiring in 1997. Allen enjoyed woodworking and especially turning. He was an avid gardener and beekeeper. He enjoyed down hill skiing, fishing, and playing cards with his friends and family in the evening.
He is survived by his wife Ann Craft, son and daughter in law Eric and Christine, granddaughters Nora and Eliza, sister and brother in law Arlene and Howard Pack, sister Sandra Matthews, sister in law Dorothy Craft, and nieces and nephews Brian (Jessica), Laura (Paul), Andy (Laura), JP (Kate), Peter, Michael (Maria), and Christopher (Jeanna). He was predeceased by his brother Donald.
Relatives and friends are invited to calling hours from 10am to 12 noon on Tuesday, July 29 at Armer Funeral Home, Inc., 39 East High Street, Ballston Spa. A service will be held at 12pm. Burial will follow in Malta Ridge Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in memory of Allen may be made to the Community Hospice of Saratoga, 179 Lawrence Street, Saratoga Springs, NY 12866.
