Allen Mark Hansen, age 53, beloved father, brother, son and friend, passed away peacefully April 6, 2025 at home in Santaquin, Utah.
Allen was born October 13, 1971 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Jo Bert Hansen and Connie Spanton Hansen. He grew up in Payson, Utah where he found a love for hunting, fishing, water and snow skiing, and all things outdoors.
Allen graduated from Payson High School with the class of 1990. Allen learned many skills and achieved the rank of Eagle Scout. Throughout his life, Allen was a devout member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served a mission in the Oklahoma City, Oklahoma mission and maintained lifelong friendships from his time there.
Allen married Amy Tischner in the Manti Temple. They raised four awesome children and enjoyed many happy years together before later divorcing. He was a devoted and proud father whose family was the center of his world.
Allen spent countless hours with his children, teaching each one how to ride dirt bikes and rode alongside them on adventures. He coached numerous sports teams, including baseball, basketball, and softball, and always found joy in any opportunity to be with his children. He helped his daughter Sayler with her FFA animals and often drove his daughter Laney to gymnastics meets and practices. In his later years, Allen discovered a love for pickleball, and Sunday afternoons were frequently spent playing the game with his children.
Known for his dedication and strong work ethic, Allen served as a police officer for the city of Santaquin early in his adult life. He also worked as a part-time Law Enforcement Ranger for Utah State Parks and helped out at his mother’s restaurant, the WildFlower Grill. After his law enforcement career, he worked at Brigham Young University, managing a student crew in the shipping and receiving department. On his days off, he enjoyed supporting the students he worked with, attending their athletic events and cheering them on during their games. He cherished his time at his jobs and the friendships he made with colleagues.
Allen had a special affinity for keeping things clean and well-maintained. Whether it was his home, his car, or his tools, he took great pride in caring for the things that mattered to him. His meticulous nature and commitment to organization were passed down to his sons, who learned from him the importance of taking care of their belongings and keeping things in order.
He is survived by his children: Hayden (Rylee) Hansen, Mason Hansen, Sayler Hansen, and Laney Hansen. He is also survived by his mother, Connie Hansen; his sisters, Gayla (Jay) Dennison and Joelle Hansen; and his brother, Mace Hansen. Additionally, he leaves behind many nieces and nephews who adored him. He is remembered by the mother of his children, Amy Hansen, and her extended family. He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Bert Hansen, and his sister, Brenda Jo Hansen.
