Allen Myers Obituary
A memorial service will begin promptly at 11 a.m. Saturday, February 7, 2026 at Christ Lutheran Church in Spry with Pastor Jim Polanzke officiating. Full military rites will be presented by the York County Veterans Honor Guard at the church at 11 a.m. Visitation will follow the service. Private burial will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. The John W. Keffer Funeral Homes and Crematory, Inc., East York, is assisting with the arrangements.
Allen was born September 17, 1926 in York, son of the late Allen A., Sr., and Blanche (Paules) Myers. He graduated from William Penn Senior High School (1944). He was a member of CLCS since 1953 and served in many capacities, including Sunday School teacher and Church Council. He also was Boy Scout Troop 45 Scoutmaster and Skipper of Sea Explorer Ship 45, Spry. He served in the US Army during WW II (1946-47) and the Korean War (1952-53). He was a member of the Korean War Veterans Chapter 178 York and also the Golden Agers of Dallastown.
Allen is survived by his wife; children Vicki (Don), Craig (Lynn), and Julie; granddaughters Kacie (Matthew) and Kristin; great-grandson Kahle; and many loving extended family. He was preceded in death by a sister, Joyce (Myers) Sprenkle.
Memorial contributions may be given to Christ Lutheran Church of Spry, 2385 S. Queen Street, York, PA 17402.

America thanks you for your service to our country in the defense of freedom. The final volley has sounded and taps is about to begin, ending a successful career as a nation´s defender. Farewell fellow veteran.
