Allen W. Olsen

On March 22, 2023, Allen W. Olsen of Laurel, Maryland passed away peacefully at his home. Allen was born on December 19, 1950 in Verona, Missouri to the late Cecil Olsen and Twila Mae Brown.    Allen is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Bernadette Olsen and two children Allen J. Olsen (wife Ashley and son Jacob) and Richard B. Olsen (wife Tanya and children Hailey, Lucas, Sadie, and Makenzie).   Allen is predeceased by his brothers Charles and Danny, and survived by siblings Billy and Rita. He was also predeceased by his loving mother-in-law, Helen L. Ennis.    Allen served 21 years in the United States Army, retiring as a Sergeant First Class. Upon his military retirement, Allen then served as a security contracting specialist for the United States government, retiring in June 2016 from the Department of Homeland Security.    The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 30, 2023 from 11:00am to 1:00pm, with funeral service beginning at 1:00pm at Beall Funeral Home (6512 Crain Highway, Bowie, MD 20715). Burial will take place at Maryland Veterans Cemetery-Crownsville (1122 Sunrise Beach Road, Crownsville, MD 21032).
