Allen Stanley Powell, born on November 22, 1963 in Newport News, Virginia, passed away at Jennie Stuart Medical Center in Hopkinsville, KY on Tuesday, October 28, 2025.
He is survived by two sisters ~ Patty Brown of Newport News, VA and Phyllis (Jimmy) Miskel of Poquoson, VA; three brothers ~ Gary (Beverly) Powell of Yorktown, VA, Homer (Geneva) Powell, Jr. and Emery Scott (Julie) Powell of Dawson Springs, KY; and many nieces and nephews.
Allen was preceded in death by his parents ~ Homer A. Powell, Sr. and Vada Ipock Powell and his sister ~ Connie Hinckle.
Visitation for Allen Stanley Powell will be on Friday, October 31, 2025 from 10:00 A.M. until the 11:00 A.M. funeral hour at Beshear Funeral Home in Dawson Springs, KY with Rev. Kathy Redden officiating. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery in Dawson Springs, KY.
Pallbearers will be Scott Powell, Mark McGregor, Jackie Franklin, Cameron Morris and Trevor Sewell.
The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to Allen's caregivers and to his physician Outwood, Dr. David French, for their love and wonderful care of Allen.
