A Celebration of Life for Allen L. Williams, 75, Lenexa, KS, will be held the 29th day, of August 2025, at Christ Community Church in Olathe, KS. The visitation will start at 10:00 AM, and the service will begin at 11:00 AM. Allen passed away Thursday, August 14, 2025, at Silverado Memory Care in Overland Park, KS.

Allen was born December 4, 1949, in Lakin, KS, the son of John and Elizabeth (King) Williams.

He married Jeanette Mellenbruch on August 12, 1978, in Lawrence, KS, and she preceded him in death on November 8, 1999.

Survivors include his children, Katie (Jason) Gorman, Robyn (Daniel Koehn) Williams, Michael Williams, Amy (Jared) Green, Emily (Justin) Shepherd, Lindsay (Aaron) Adcox, siblings, Jim Williams, Leslie (Dennis) Hill, Mary (Doug) Engel, sister-in-law, Kathy Williams, fourteen grandchildren, Zach, Myles, Violet, Gabriella, Luca, Deacon, Bristolynn, Xavior, Kennedy, Kyler, Stella, August, Aurora, and A.J.

He was also preceded in death by his parents, as well as his brother and sister-in-law, Steve and Becky Williams.

Allen graduated from the School of Engineering at the University of Kansas and proudly served in the United States Air Force. He met the love of his life, Jeanette, while working at the Kwik Shop in Lawrence, and together, they built a life and raised their family in western Lenexa. Allen found joy in the outdoors—whether in the mountains, on the water at the lake, or simply working in the yard. He especially loved golf, mowing the lawn, and even pulling weeds. His love for mowing was so strong that even after moving into a memory care facility, his children would bring him back to his home so he could continue to mow the lawn—something that brought him both peace and purpose—until he was no longer able to do so. A devoted Jayhawks fan, he rarely missed a basketball game and cherished time spent with friends and family. After retiring from a successful career as an electrical engineer at Honeywell in 2016, Allen continued to offer his time and talents, always ready to lend a hand with a car, home repair, or project. He will be remembered for his generous spirit, quiet acts of service, and his warm smile—still present, even in the final stages of dementia.

Memorial Contributions may be made in Allen’s name to KU Medical Center Alzheimer's and Dementia Research or The Alzheimer's Association and may be sent in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary.
