Allison Darco Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Vessey Funeral Service - Fort Collins on Nov. 12, 2024.
Allison Shawn Darco 52, of Ft. Collins, Co passed away August 21, 2024, after a short battle with cancer. She passed in the early morning at UC Health Center in Loveland, CO with her mother Carol at her bedside.
Allison was born February 10, 1972, at Swedish Hospital in Englewood, CO to Les and Carol Darco. She was preceded in death by her father, Les Darco in 2008. Allison is survived by her mother Carol Darco, her brother Bret Darco, nephew Devin Darco, grandmother Felicia Darco, aunts and uncles Claudette Tiley, Debbie (Pete) Blattenbauer, Dana (Randy) Berggren, Jill (Buck) Johnson, Kay Darco, Richard (Sheila) Toczek, Ken (Barb) Toczek, Joyce (Jim) Santjer, Jerry (Debbie) Toczek, as well as numerous cousins and friends.
Allison graduated in 1990 from Poudre High School in Ft. Collins, Co. Her life occupation was health care, as it was her passion to help relieve the suffering of the afflicted. Her most recent employment was with Angel's Advocate. She was soft spoken, always sharing a kind word of encouragement. She had a beautiful smile and gentle demeanor. Allison had a genuine concern for people who were homeless and couldn't bear to see them without food. Her generous spirit caused her to spend much of her spare time preparing sandwiches for sack lunches she would deliver to the hungry. She loved spending time in the mountains, loved children, old people and animals. She cherished memories and time spent with her family. She recently recalled watching her favorite program, "Little House on the Prairie" with her late grandmother Lillian.
Allison's passing has left a void in the hearts of all who knew and loved her; however, she has left a legacy of loving and caring for others and that will forever be remembered.
Her kindness and loving spirit will be celebrated on Saturday, September 7th, 2024, 1pm-4pm and a luncheon will be served at the VFW 1781, 603 Lesser Dr., Fort Collins, CO across the street from the Houska garage
