Funeral for Allison Moore Prater, 32, of Somerville will be Sunday, September 4, 2011, at 1:30 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Ben Hayes and Dr. Felton Davenport officiating. Burial will be in Hartselle City Cemetery. Visitation will be this evening from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Ms. Prater, who died Thursday, September 1, 2011, at Decatur General Hospital, was born November 8, 1978, in Morgan County to Tommy F. Moore and Beth Moore. She was a dental assistant for 14 years for the office of J.F. Davenport Dentistry. She was a graduate of Hartselle High School Class of 1997 and a member of Eva Church of Christ.
Survivors include one daughter, Aleia Allison Prater of Somerville; her parents, Tommy F. Moore of Somerville and Beth Moore of Decatur; one brother, Blake Moore of Decatur; one sister, Rachel Moore of Hartselle; and her fiance', Michael Nolen.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a trust fund for her daughter, Aleia Prater, at any Family Security Credit Union.

Dear Beth and family, when we came to Hartselle..the day Serena started 5th grade and I went to meet children with her, there sit Allison with a big smile on her face and she jumped up and said "come sit by me and I will be your friend".There are no words I can find to help but that I LOVE YOU.

Beth, To loose a child is truly a parents worst nightmare. We can not imagine the sorrow and pain you must be going through. There are really no words that can truly console you at this tragic time but just know that the God you so love is now holding you in his hands and walking with you and your family as you deal with this unbelievable loss.
