ARCHER, Alma Marie - age 91, of Fenton, passed away Tuesday, January 6, 2026. Funeral Services will be held 11 AM Saturday, January 10, 2026 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 1025 Main St., Fenton, Pastor Peter Ahlersmeyer officiating. Visitation will be from 3-8 PM Friday, January 9 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton; and 10-11 AM Saturday, January 10 at the church. Those desiring may make contributions to Trinity Lutheran Church General Fund.
Alma was born December 18, 1934 in Meredosia, Illinois, the daughter of Arthur and Irene (McDannald) Flynn. She was married to Sidney Archer on February 20, 1954 in Detroit, and he preceded her in death on November 25, 2011. Alma was a hairdresser and had her own beauty shop for several years. She was a member of the Fenton VFW and Trinity Lutheran Church of Fenton.
She is survived by: three sons, Harvey (Patricia) Archer of Fenton, Edward Archer of Carp Lake, Cary (Cindy) Archer of Howell; eight grandchildren, Michele Casey of Fenton, Jeremy (Danielle) Archer of Holly, Jeff (Lorén) Archer of Washington State, Rebecca (Jonathan) Torrey of Fenton, Elizabeth Pringle of Fowlerville, Katherine (Nicholas) Kelly of Fowlerville, Ashley Archer (fiancé Frankie Robles) of California, Amanda Archer of Howell; fourteen great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; sister, Shirley Hughes; several nieces and nephews; and loving friend Grace Carpenter.
Alma was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Sidney Archer; brother, Clyde Flynn; and sisters, Laveta Ellerholz, Edith Chapman, and Jane Barry.
