Alma Bailey Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Broussard's Mortuary - Major Drive on Jan. 2, 2026.
Alma Jean Bailey, 68, of Beaumont, died Saturday, December 27, 2025. She was born in Austin, Texas, on July 20, 1957, to Alma Routledge Isaacks and Robert Earl Isaacks.

Alma was known for her green thumb and love for animals. She cared for a jungle of potted plants, some of which she had for over 40 years. She volunteered for Beaumont Animal Care, fostering motherless kittens and spending sleepless nights bottle-feeding them to health.

Alma's greatest joy in life was her two grandchildren. Lovingly known to them as Meme. She spoiled them in every way possible.

Survivors include her husband, Craig Bailey; daughter, Michele Ruppel and her husband, Aaron; grandchildren, Tyler Ruppel and Mia Ruppel; and brothers, Robert Isaacks and his wife, Stephanie and John Isaacks.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Southeast Texas Humane Society, 2050 Spindletop Avenue, Beaumont, Texas 77705.

A memorial service for Mrs. Bailey will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 7, 2026, at Broussard's, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. Her cremation arrangements were handled through Broussard's Crematorium.

Michele and family, we are so sorry for your loss. We have many memories of spending fun time with your mom at Thanksgiving celebrations. I remember many years ago when we had a reunion in the Little Rock area. Again, good memories. She will be missed.
May the Lord bless you and keep you.
We love and miss you all, Uncle Barry and Aunt Debbie
