Alma Paulette Coleman, 72, of San Angelo, Texas, passed away on December 7, 2025. She was born on May 8, 1953, to Frank and Nina Box.
Paulette grew up in San Angelo and attended Central High School. In her youth, she met and later married the love of her life, Gerald Coleman. Together, they built a home filled with faith, humor, and unconditional love.
Throughout her life, Paulette worked in both a grocery store and a plant store while living in Tuscola, Texas. She was known for her creativity, her passion for arts and crafts, and her love of garage sales. Deeply devoted to her faith, she remained active in church and found joy in helping others.
Her greatest accomplishments were being a wife, mother, and grandmother. Paulette was famously organized—always keeping life in order with a plan, a list, or an itinerary. Paulette faced and overcame colon cancer and went on living fully and joyfully, grateful for every continued blessing. She especially loved going on cruises, where she found peace in the ocean, excitement in new adventures, and cherished memories with her family. Those trips became some of her happiest moments proof of the vibrant life she continued to embrace after her recovery.
Paulette is survived by her son, Todd and his wife Trixy Coleman of San Angelo; her siblings: Glenna Allen of Arizona, Jerry and wife Amanda Box of Louisiana, Dayton and wife Cathy Box of San Angelo, LouNell and husband Jerry Moore of San Angelo, and Debbie and husband Bill Webb of Big Lake. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Ashtyn Gillie of Austin, Justin Coleman of Dallas, Devon Franks of Denton, Drew Barber of Bakersfield, California, Devo Coleman of San Angelo, and Arysta Coleman of San Angelo; as well as her beloved companion, Piper, her dog, and best friend. She leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews who loved her dearly.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Coleman; her son, Shane Coleman; her parents, Frank Box and Nina Draper; and her in-laws, Larry and Joyce Barnes.
Visitation will be held Thursday, December 11, 2025, from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. at Harper Funeral Home.
A Memorial Service will take place on Friday, December 12, 2025 at 10:00 AM at Glen Meadows Baptist Church
In remembrance of Paulette, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, a cause close to her heart.
