Alma Carolyn Aines Emanuel, 69, of Albany, died Wednesday, October 25, 2023 at her residence.
A native of Camp Lejeune, NC, Alma had lived in Albany for the past 55 years. She was retired from Phoebe Putney, where she worked as a Financial Counselor for 31 years. Alma was a people person and loved to express her love by doing for others. She was a “gifter”, always looking for ways to give to others. In her spare time, she loved to shop, workout, decorate, and make flower arrangements.
Survivors include her children, Robin Hester (Randall), Matthew Cox (Jenna), and Mark Cox. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Brittany Hood (Zane), Trent Hester (Kelsey), Davis Cox, Judah Cox, Finley Cox, Carsyn Cox; great grandchildren, Hudson Hood and Patton Hester; brothers, Max Aines, Jr. and Kevin Aines; her best friend, Bee Craft and her partner, Jonathan Williams.
Her memorial service will be at 3:00 PM on Sunday, October 29, 2023 at Mathews Funeral Home. Rev. Ross Powell will officiate.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 3:00 PM, Sunday, October 29, 2023 at Mathews Funeral Home.
