It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Alma P. Silva, who entered eternal rest on January 21, 2026, in Laredo, Texas.
Alma was preceded in death by her parents, Marcos and Luz Perez; and her siblings, Irma Flores (Gustavo), Isael Perez (Rebecca), and Hermilo Perez (Ofelia).
Left to cherish her memory is her beloved husband of 56 years, Juan R. Silva; her children, Michael Anthony Silva (Katy), Monica Michele Palizo (Dr. Pedro Antonio), and Marisa Annette Vasquez (Gerardo); and her cherished grandchildren, Holden, Sterling, Janson, Lauren, Pedro Antonio Jr., Gerardo, Victoria, Camila, and Carolina. Alma is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many dear friends.
The family will receive condolences on Sunday, January 25, 2026, at Hillside Funerals and Cremations from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., with a Rosary at 3:30 p.m. Visitation will continue Monday, January 26, 2026, beginning at 7:00 a.m. and will depart at 10:30 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will commence at 11:00 a.m. at St. Patrick Catholic Church. A private cremation will take place at a later date.
Pallbearers will be Michael Anthony Silva, Dr. Pedro Antonio Palizo, Gerardo Vasquez, Pedro Antonio Palizo Jr., and Gerardo Palizo.

I am so sorry for your loss. Praying for her family. Alma and I taught at Nye Elementary School. That is where I met her and became friends.

I am so sorry for your loss. Whenever my mom (Lydia Galindo) and I went to Laredo we usually made it a point to see her. And after my mom passed, I still visited her with my sister (Mary Sue). We always enjoyed our visits. I will miss and cherish them. May Alma RIP.
