Almeta Sue Wade

Almeta Sue Wade age 75, of Summerfield, OH passed away Tuesday, November 11, 2025 at Marietta Memorial Hospital in Marietta, OH. She was born December 12, 1949 in Marietta, OH daughter of the late Samuel D. and Nola L. Helmick Newlon.

She was a collector, gardener, and enjoyed raising her chickens. Sue also loved to listen to music. She will be remembered as a hard worker, having owned and operated a timber and sawmill business for many years with her late husband Frank Wade.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Frank J. Wade, whom she married in June of 1972 and who passed May 18, 2012; grandson Chad Newlon, and brother Russ Newlon.

Those left to cherish her memory are her children James Newlon, Cheri Wade-Mallett, and Grover Wade; grandchildren Alexandria Wade, Jacob Mallett, Jett Wade, Corey Newlon, and Matyson Saffell; several great-grandchildren; siblings Jinx Newlon, Kenny Newlon, Calvin Newlon, Clark Newlon, Randal Newlon, May Newlon, Kay Hipp, and Ronda Lance; her significant other Charles Clift. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and friends.

Cremation will be observed with no additional services held at this time. Chandler Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 609 West Street, Caldwell, OH 43724 has been entrusted to care for the family.
