Alpha Merrick Obituary
Alpha Elaine Merrick, 76, of Science Hill, passed away Monday, January 29, 2024, at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital Jean Waddle Care Center.
She was born January 15, 1948, in Casey County; daughter of the late Dewey & Edna (Wesley) Hodge. Elaine was a homemaker and was a member of Tateville Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Troy Merrick; two daughters, Lisa & (Brian) Clark and Danna & (Keith) Lawless, both of Science Hill; three sisters, Eva Marie Wiles of King Bee, Elsie Warren of Shady Grove, and Glenda Sneed of Bethelridge; two grandchildren, Ryan & (Haley) Clark of Stanford and Ethan Lawless & (fiance, Kali Bell) of Science Hill; and one great-grandchild, Dawson Clark.
She is preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Lou Ethel Dick and Carol Warren.
A funeral service will be held 1:00 PM Saturday, February 3, 2024, at the Chapel of Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Larry Butte officiating. Burial will be in Science Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be after 10:00 AM Saturday, February 3, 2024, at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.
