Alphonse "Al" L. Provost

Provost, Alphonse Jr. Age 81; of Trenton. December 4, 2017. Born to the late Alphonse and Gladys Provost July 4, 1936. Beloved husband of the late Penny Provost for 34 years. Loving father of Raymond Provost, Tina (Rich) Cart, and Chris Provost. Proud Papa of Katelyn, Jennifer, Edward, Cassandra, and Madeline. Cherished great-papa of Scarlett, Mason, Benjamin, and Hugh. Survived by siblings Sister Janet Provost of Monroe and Paul Provost of Ypsilanti. Preceded in death by siblings Jeanette Minnish and Raymond Provost. Al was loved by all of his family and will be deeply missed. He loved to paint; he painted signs, sports emblems, and mascots for the Trenton schools where he worked for 35 years. Al also loved football; watching the High School football games as well as Michigan State and shooting pool. You could always find him giving his grandkids money; he loved them very much. Visitation for Al will be Thursday December 7 at 1 p.m. at the Trenton chapel of The Martenson Family of Funeral Homes. His funeral service will be the following day at the funeral home; instate 11 a.m. with the service at 12 p.m. Directly following his services we will be processing to Michigan Memorial Park Cemetery for a committal service.
