Alphonso "Al Lee" Lee

Alphonso Lee, lovingly known to many as "Al Lee", was born on July 29, 1945, to the late Will J. Lee and Willie Bowens Lee, and he peacefully departed this life on Saturday, September 20, 2025.

He was also preceded in death by his sister, Wilhemenia Gilmore, and his grandmother, Alberta Bowens.

Alphonso leaves to cherish his memory his devoted children, Kortesha Burden and Aldrain Burden Sr. He was a proud grandfather of six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his loving siblings, Irma M. Cammon, Edna L. Grant, and Vera J. Grandison, along with a host of nephews, nieces, extended family members, and countless friends who were touched by his light.

Al Lee was truly one of a kind-a light that constantly shone. He was the life of the party, full of energy, laughter, and kindness. Generous to a fault, he would give you the shirt off his back without a second thought. Always on the move, you had to catch him quickly or he would be gone. His favorite saying was, "I'll be right back," which often meant he was already off to his next adventure.

Wherever he went, Al left an impression. His presence was felt the moment he entered a room, and his absence was equally noticed when he departed. He never let a day go by without reaching out to his children and making sure his family stayed connected.

One thing is certain-Al got his ticket, and he's on the road "out of town." He will forever be remembered as a man who made the most of his time, who loved deeply, laughed freely, and lived fully. His light will never go out, and his legacy of joy and love will continue to shine in the hearts of all who knew him.
