Alta Codding Obituary
Alta Marie (Baker) Codding, 94, of Bowling Green, Ohio, passed away November 22, 2023. She was born May 25, 1929, in Shelby, Ohio, to the late Best and Nina (Gutshall) Baker.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 30, 2023, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Dunn Funeral Home, located in the Historical District of Bowling Green at 408 W. Wooster St. Her funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. at the Funeral Home. Interment will be private at Oak Grove Cemetery.

To Alta's children, your mother was such a great lady. My wedding shower was held at your house. I grew up with David and I playing snap-together trains as our mothers were doubtless doing something for the church or hospital guild. Such great memories of all my mother's (Lolita Guthrie) bridge group and our girls' luncheon on Christmas Eve day for many of the final years of our mothers' lives. Such a wonderful group. I visited Alta in 2019 when I was home for our BGSU reunion. She showed me all her quilts in progress and I have wonderful memories of her and your family home.

Dear Codding family:
I was so sorry to hear about the passing of Alta. She was such a nice person. I always enjoyed our conversations at the lake and hearing about her latest quilt she was making. Her smile and laughter were so precious. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time.
