Alton Dupre Obituary

Alton was a sweet, gentle, and loving man. He never had a bad word said against him. Alton was a part of the United States Marine Corps and served in The Vietnam War. He lost his Terrebonne High School graduation ring while serving in Okinawa, Japan and it was returned to him years later at home. Alton started working as a welder and eventually became an electrician. He worked hard for his family and loved them dearly. Alton knew it was his time and was ready to go home. He will be truly missed by all who knew him.
A visitation will be held in his honor on Saturday, August 30, 2025 at Samart Funeral Home of Houma, Bayou Blue, from 9:00 am until the Funeral Service at 11:00 am. The burial will follow in St. Louis Cemetery in Bayou Blue, LA.
Alton is survived by sister, Jean Ledet; niece whom he lived with, Anna Floore; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Alton was preceded in death by his wife of 29 years, Delores Dupre; step-son, Toby LeBouef; parents: Alton Joseph Dupre and Lily Marie Babin Dupre; and sisters: Cecile Lyons and Florence Floore.
