Alton Joeseph "AJ" Glass, Jr., 70, of San Angelo passed away on Monday, July 1, 2024.

Memorial services will be at 10:00 AM Monday, July 22, 2024 at Robert Massie Riverside Chapel with Deacon Claudio Sanchez, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Robert Massie Funeral Home.

Mr. Glass was born on February 1, 1954 in San Angelo to Alton and Ernestine Feist Glass. AJ graduated from Wall High School in 1973 and was named "Most Handsome". He became a fire fighter with the City of San Angelo Fire Department retiring in 2007 after 28 years of service. AJ enjoyed drag racing at the Wall Drag Strip, fishing and boating at the horseshoe at Lake Nasworthy. He was an avid hunter and was known for his deer sausage and always had a freezer full of venison. He was unforgettable, one of a kind, and stubborn...there was never a dull moment inhis presence. AJ played pool in a league, had a big personality, was a jokester, and loved being with his friends at Blaine's Pub, his second home.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Bobby Glass.

AJ is survived by his two children, Christie Lynn Mayfield and husband Mike of Georgetown and Benjamin James Glass of Pennsylvania; two siblings, Gary Glass and wife Kathy of San Angelo and Linda Baker and husband Jimmy of Barnhart; four grandchildren, Kalee Morris and husband Skyler of Liberty Hill, Cody Campbell of Georgetown, Skyler Mayfield of Georgetown and Andrea Massey of Indiana; and two great grandchildren, Adylee Morris and Coleson Campbell. He was loved by and will be missed by many!
