October 12, 1988 – September 11, 2025
“He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.” Ps 147:3
Mr. Alvaro Obregon, III, 36, passed away in the City of Floresville, Texas, on September 11, 2025. He entered this world on October 12, 1988, in Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin, the son of the late Alvaro Obregon Jr. and Anjelita Rodriguez Alday. He grew up in Laredo and subsequently moved to Floresville, Texas, where he and his wife, Brandi resided and were raising their children.
Alvaro built his career as a skilled CDL truck driver, taking pride in his work and the miles he traveled. When not on the road he showed his love through his passion of cooking for those he cared about, prank calling to tell a quick joke, having a bar-b-que on the weekends, going for trips to fish at the beach, cheering on his Dallas Cowboys win or lose, and hunting for antiques and odd treasures. He lived life with curiosity and courage, always ready to try something new and embrace the moment. He was known for his fearless attitude. Alvaro was always up for an adventure and never afraid to try something new. His laughter, curiosity, and love of life left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.
He is preceded in death by his father, Alvaro Obregon Jr.
Left behind to cherish his memory are his beloved spouse, Brandi Obregon; daughters that he raised and loved: Mariah Martinez and Aliyah Arriaga; his mother, Anjelita (Alejandro) Alday; siblings: Ashley (Jorge) Rodriguez, Antonio Luis (Melissa) Obregon, Alex (Kate) Alday; uncle, Marcial (Alejandra) Obregon; mother-in-law, Rosario Morin, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
