Alvetta Marie Atwell, age 92 of Linn Creek, formerly of Sparta and Ozark, passed away February 25, 2024 at her home in Linn Creek. She was born January 16, 1932 in Arkansas, the daughter of Ralph and Gladys Vanderveer.
Alvetta was a member of Smyrna Baptist Church in Rogersville. She enjoyed sewing, ceramics, embroidery and painting. Alvetta loved doing craft projects.
Survivors include: her children, Alan Burch and wife Sandy of Arkansas and Boyd Burch and wife Karen Mogle of Linn Creek; her siblings, Paul Vanderveer and wife Nadine of Lebanon and Madge Jennings of Lebanon; three grandchildren, Sarah Clark, Adam Burch and Robert Burch; and eight great grandchildren.
Alvetta was preceded in death by her husband, Benjamin Atwell; her parents; a daughter, Aletta Burch and a son, Andrew Burch.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, March 1, 2024 at Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Springfield, under direction of Adams Funeral Home, Ozark, with Dr. Wade Bridges officiating.
