Alvin Dean Alford III

Alvin Dean Alford, III, a native of Metairie, LA, passed away on Monday, February 9, 2026, at the age of 75. Dean was a long-time employee of the Orleans Parish Levee District. Dean was a huge fan of the Saints and LSU, he enjoyed long drives, drawing, and he loved The Beatles. Dean was survived by his former wife Brenda Fernandez, whom he remained close to, his daughter Lori Alford Taylor (Tomas) and his grandchildren Austen Tomas Taylor, Ashten Dean Taylor, and Aiden James Taylor. He was also survived by his brothers Joey Alford (Cindy), David Alford (Wren), and Jimmy Alford (Linda), many aunts and uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Dean was preceded in death by his parents Alvin Dean Alford, Jr., Eldred Aucoin, stepmother Betty Lingoini Alford, brother Adam Daniel Alford, grandparents Eddie Aucoin and Eugenie Boudreaux Aucoin, Alvin Dean Alford, Sr., and Willie Mae Brock Alford. We would like to thank Mr. Lonnie, his long-time, next-door neighbor who always looked out for him. We are so grateful he had you. We would also like to thank East Jefferson Hospital ER for taking such great care of him with respect and giving him the dignity he deserved.
