Alvin Eversgerd, age 79, the family hermit passed the evening of Sunday, September 20, 2020. Alvin was known for his mastery of all things mechanical. Drag racing, Auto racing, even lawn mower racing was of particular interest. "Measure twice, cut once" and "No wasted motion" were the principles he lived by. Alvin possessed a wicked sense of humor, but you would only ever experience it away from a crowd. He believed in working smarter not harder and saving every penny- EVERY SINGLE ONE.
Alvin is survived by his wife of nearly 58 years, Belva Jo; his son, Jon Allen and wife, Winnona of Nevada; son, Jesse Lew and wife, Regina of Rio Rancho; and daughter, Beth and spouse, Cody Rushing also of Rio Rancho. He cherished his granddaughters, Jamie and husband, Clinton, Bradley, and Ella; his grandsons, Matthew and wife, Britani, James, Tristan, and Ethan; and especially his great-grandchildren, Reagan, Carter, and Memphis. Alvin leaves behind his beloved brother, Jerome and wife, Ginny; and treasured sister, Ann Marie. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alvin and Cresentia; brother, Louis; and son, James Paul.
In consideration of Covid-19 safety precautions, the Service is by family invitation only. Live streaming will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 26, 2020 by clicking on the link below.
