Alvin is survived by his wife, Diane Barnett Kerns; son and daughter-in-law, Adam and Sue Kerns; daughters and son-in-law, Kate ( Joe ) Vance, Kim Brown, Kris Shambeau, Katni Padgett, Kindra (JR) Chorak; sisters, Sus Foster, Peggy Helsel, Carol (Jack) Collins, Betty (Lyn) Forbes; brother, Rick Kerns; grandchildren, Clayton, Karen Ann, Justin, Joshua, Jeremy, Jolene, Chantel, Lance, Kira, Lexi, John Tyler, Charles and numerous great-grandchildren, also nieces and nephews.
