Alvin Richard Linhart, 90, of Sealy, TX passed away on June 25, 2025. Alvin was born on May 17, 1935, in Schulenburg, TX to his loving parents Josef and Amelia Linhart.
Alvin worked for the Fort Bend school district where he dedicated 37 years of his life as a maintenance electrician. Alvin enjoyed riding deere tractors and had a love for Czech and polka music. Alvin even had his own band called The Sugarlanders where they played and sung Czech music.
Alvin is preceded in death by his loving wife Matilda Linhart, his daughter Jeanette Linhart Bender, his parents Josef and Amelia Linhart, his five brothers, Albert, Herbert, Henry, Leo, and Daniel Linhart, and his siter Hilda Linhart Derringer.
Alvin is survived by his children Shirley Morgan (Dan) of Temple, TX, Alvin J. Linhart (Debbie) of Sealy, TX, Sharon Kaminski (Stanley) of Devine, TX, and Joyce Janda (Phil) of Needville, TX. His grandchildren Karen Bender Hargraves, Kristen Bender Jones, Krystle Bender Peterson, Stephanie Bialas, Jonathon Bialas, Emily Kaminski Crim, Allison Kaminski, Kelly Jo Kaminski, Katie Janda Edwards, and Kimberly Janda. His step-grandchildren David Morgan, Joshua Morgan, Christopher Morgan, David Ruley, Patrick Douglas, and Audrey Ruley. His god-children Charlene Smith, Margaret Leopold, Diane Seaman and Lynette Linhart as well as eleven great-grandchildren, two step-great-grandchildren and numerous extended family and friends.
Family visitation will begin at 5:00 PM, and public visitation will be from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM held at Davis Greenlawn Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 2nd, 2025.
Funeral service will be on Thursday, July 3rd, 2025 at 10:00 AM with a burial to follow.
