Alvin Kenneth Mack
1946-2025
Alvin Kenneth Mack, born August 10, 1946 in Clinton, Tennessee, passed away on Friday, April 4, 2025 in Milton, Florida.
He was a long-time resident of Milton, having moved here as a teen with his family. A distinguished veteran, Alvin proudly served his country as a Marine in Vietnam. After leaving the service, he traveled the country as a photographer with his family before he settled back in Milton. Family was the most important thing to Alvin. He married the love of his life in 1972 and raised five boys, who turned into the men of whom he was so proud. He enjoyed spending time with his family, working as a maintenance electrician for the Santa Rosa County School Board, and many outdoor activities including fishing with his boys and wife of 52 years.
He is survived by his wife, Sylvia Louise Maddox Mack; four sons, Adrian (Emily) Mack, Clinton (Brandi) Mack, Dearl (Candy) Mack, and Daryl "Wade" Mack; ten grandchildren: Dagon, Caleb, Hannah, Baylee, Logan, Cheyenne, Rosie, Lexi, Eli, Carter, and Brendan; his brother, Bernie (Frances) Mack; sister, Deanna (Randy) Counts; and multiple nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his son, Jason Rolon Mack, and his parents, Cleta Ivadean McGhee Mack and Theodore Roosevelt Mack.
Services will be held on Wednesday, April 9, 2025 at Trahan Family Funeral Home of Milton. Visitation will begin at 3:00 p.m. with funeral services following at 4:00 p.m. Interment at Crain Cemetery will follow immediately after funeral. At the family's request, there will not be a gathering after funeral services.
